Tip of the day: Pain free feet in a day of wearing heels

Man, has it been a week! One more day of the North American International Auto Show and back to school I go. This is my third year working with Chrysler as a product specialist and my first time working the biggest auto show in the nation. It has been ... an experience. Haha.

Your Network is Your Net Worth

One huge piece of advice I would give to anybody trying to succeed or advance, NETWORK. Networking is such a key component to getting to where you want to be. As the famous saying goes, "It's not always what you know, but who you know."

Sass Up the Office

H&M's new arrivals this season have me ready to show up to work Monday morning. From fluid pants, full skirts, and over sized outerwear, my fashion senses are on overload. This look is so feminine and would definitely make a young corporate Americana like myself, stand out in the male dominated office.

Winter White

Cheers to the freakin weekend! Yea, this will probably be the highlight of my weekend - my new white rabbit fur coat. I had to wear it, even though I only went to Panera and Target.

Drunk in Love

This year has been a big one for Kim Kardashian. Getting engaged (hopefully for the last time) and having her beautiful little girl, North; Beyonce isn't the only one drunk in love.

Confection with Convictions

One of my 2014 goals is to attend at least two networking/developmental events per month and am I glad that I did. This morning I attended an Entrepreneurship Forum at Western Michigan University and the guest speaker was a man named Dale Anderson. By 9am, I was in tears.

Modern Day Marilyn : Moriahlaz

Serving Face Much?! This bombshell blew me away with her recent Instagram post. Rocking yellow eye shadow, paired with a deep, purple lip - she nailed it.

Who Needs Gucci When You Have Louie?

This oldie but goodie is a jaw droppin, heart pumpin, 'ready to spend my rent money' handbag. O M G! The Louis Vuitton TGM Monogram Rayure Neverfull Bag from the limited edition collection (2012) is TO DIE FOR! I'm in love! Some may say this bag is too big - I think the complete opposite. Go big or go home baby!

Still Hunting for the Perfect Fur?

You better grab your fur, girl its COLD outside! Rihanna had the right idea when she was spotted in Manhattan, NY heading into 40/40 on New Year's Eve. Decked out in jewel encrusted veil and fur paired with hot pink heels, she was definitely turning heads.

I have been on the hunt for some fur coats this season. I'm trying to get my RiRi on... on a budget though.

Succeed in Two Thousand Fourteen

A new year always brings on new resolutions. When I look back on what I have accomplished over the previous year, I always shock myself. It's so rewarding to look at my list of goals I made in 2013 and see that they are all crossed off and completed. So, in 2014, I am pumping up the volume and challenging myself a bit further.

2014 Goals:

♥ Attend at least 2 networking/development events per month
♥ Read 30 books
♥ Travel outside of the country
♥ Be happy!
♥ Graduate
♥ Increase business sales by 10%
♥ Acknowledge and reward myself for my successes
♥ Grow Love Struck TEAM
♥ Watch developmental/inspiring webinars
♥ Get out of my comfort zone and NETWORK
This is a hefty list in my opinion, but I am ready to knock them all out!

What are some of your 2014 goals/resolutions?

A Simple Thank You

A simple "Thank You" goes a long way, especially for small business owners. It's a lot easier and less expensive retaining a current buyer than gaining a new one. Typically, when those buyers come back, they spend more. This is because they trust your company and have become a fan of your products/service.

Take the time to make that customer feel like VIP and go the extra mile to say "Thank You".  Write hand written thank you's for each order. Send personalized emails on birthdays or on the 1 year anniversary of their first purchase. Don't dip too much into your profits for this, but take the extra time to make that customer feel appreciated.

This year, I am sending all of my customers thank you postcards with a free shipping coupon attached. It will cost me a little over $100 to do this, but even if I can get one customer to become a repeat buyer, it is worth it.

Business Owners: How do you stimulate repeat customers?
Buyers: What have you found to stand out from companies that makes you come back?

2014!

Happy New Year! I brought the new year in with a bang. Friends and I attended a party downtown Detroit and had a blast! Being surrounded with such beautiful people, inside and out, on New Year's Eve was exactly what I needed. 2013 was a great year but I can already tell that it's going to be an even better year in 2014. I hope you all brought the year in right! We sure did.
